Oppo’s K13 Turbo smartphones keep their cool with a built-in fan

Because overheating is passé!

Oppo has launched its K13 Turbo series in India, with two variants, the regular K13 Turbo and the beefed-up K13 Turbo Pro. What sets these phones apart is the new “Storm Engine” cooling system, which, as per Oppo, uses built-in centrifugal fans to keep it cool during heavy use. A smart addition for anyone pushing their phone hard.

Both phones also feature an upgraded AI Game Assistant that adds a Gaming Camera for quick screenshots, capturing in-game moments, or recording 30-second replays. On the software side, Oppo promises two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.

The standard K13 Turbo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, while the Pro steps things up with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Both models run on the latest Android 15, customised with Oppo’s ColorOS 15 skin.

The series features a 6.8-inch LTPS Flexible AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1600 nits and support for a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. For photography, both phones sport a 50MP main sensor alongside a 2MP secondary lens on the back. Up front, there’s a 16MP Sony IMX480 shooter for selfies and video calls. Powering the devices is a 7,000mAh battery, which supports 80W wired fast charging and bypass charging, so you can keep using the phone while it powers up.

The Oppo K13 Turbo starts at Rs. 27,999, and the K13 Turbo Pro starts at Rs. 37,999.
