OxygenOS 15 unveiled, coming to OnePlus 12 on October 30

The latest version of OxygenOS is based on Android 15

OnePlus has unveiled OxygenOS 15, the latest version of its specialised software package for its smartphones and tablets. Based on Android 15, OxygenOS from OnePlus will be rolling out to compatible devices starting with the OnePlus 12 from October 30, with the launch of the Open Beta program. The wider public stable releases for compatible devices will following in the coming weeks, and the upcoming OnePlus 13 is likely to run the stable version out-of-the-box at launch.

Notably, OxygenOS 15 will come with numerous updates to the user experience, apart from the obvious improvements that come with the newest version of Android. These include major AI features, including generative features meant to improve photography, such as unblur, erasing, and detail boost. Other AI features use Google Gemini to provide predictive and generative inputs, for functions such as smart replies, intelligent search, drafting and summarising text, and more. Expectedly, Google Gemini will be included as the on-device AI assistant as well.

OnePlus is also touting major changes to the visual elements of OxygenOS 15, including changes to the boot animations, fingerprint icons, wallpaper effects, and more. Additionally, there are also new security features, which work with Google's improvements to Android 15.
