Porsche celebrates 75 years with The Festival of Dreams

The GT4 RS is the top-of-the-line model of the 718 series and is only offered as a coupe for a cool Rs. 2.54 Crore (ex-showroom, India). The GT4 RS is the most advanced and track-focused performance model Porsche has ever made for the 718 series. At the Nurburgring in Germany, it set a lap time of 7:09.03, which is 23.06 seconds faster than the GT4. In India, the 718 models start with the regular Cayman and Boxster, followed by more upgraded GTS versions of both. Below the GT4 RS are the high-performance Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder.

The GT4 RS's exceptional lap time at the Nurburgring is the result of its combination of being slightly lighter and significantly more powerful than the GT4. The GT4 RS is equipped with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine that produces 500 horsepower, which is 80 horsepower more than the GT4 and can rev up to 9,000 RPM. Additionally, it also generates 30 Nm more torque than the GT4, at 450 Nm. This engine is similar to the one found in the 911 GT3, but is slightly modified. It has a top speed of 315kmph and comes with a  7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox - perfect for a spin around Byculla’s crisp roads!
