Acer has given a boost to its gaming laptop lineup in India with the refreshed Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios Neo 16 models, now powered by the latest 14th-gen Intel Core series processors. The 2024 editions support up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards. The Acer Predator Helios 16 starts at a price of ₹1,99,999 and the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 comes at a more affordable starting price of ₹1,49,999.
Acer has integrated AI tech into its latest Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios Neo 16 laptops, bringing functionalities like AI-assisted noise reduction, Purified View, and Nvidia DLSS 3.5 facilitated by a 3rd microphone and Purifier Voice 2.0. The Swappable WASD Magkey 3.0 is another feature that is said to enhance the tactile feedback and response time of the keyboard. Additionally, the third microphone setup is designed to capture voices from the front, eliminating unwanted background noise.
Both the Acer Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios Neo 16 laptops come with WQXGA displays and Acer's MagKey 3.0 installed in the WASD keys, allowing for easy customisation to suit individual gaming preferences. To ensure efficient cooling and enhance airflow, Acer has incorporated the 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D tech in these laptops featuring 89 ultra-thin blades measuring 0.08mm, along with a wind-guiding structure. Acer claims that this results in a 10% increase in airflow compared to the 4th generation AeroBlade 3D fan and a significant 55% improvement over standard plastic fans.
The laptops include Killer DoubleShot Pro for optimised network connectivity, USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 for high-speed data transfer, and a MicroSD card reader. The Predator Helios 16 laptop takes things a step further with its 7-zone RGB Infinity Mirror, showcasing lighting effects that can be customised to suit your style. The dynamic RGB lighting effects and customisable per-key RGB illumination add to its visual appeal. Additionally, the laptop also features an RGB Dynamic Predator Lighting Logo.
