Renault has rolled out the updated Kiger, now priced between Rs. 6.29 lakh and Rs. 11.29 lakh. The refreshed compact SUV continues to be offered in four variants, but with a new naming scheme. While the outgoing model came in RXE, RXL, RXT(O) and RXZ trims, the facelifted version is launched in Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Emotion.
The updated Renault Kiger shows off a sharper, more stylish persona with redesigned front and rear bumpers finished with a silver accent, a refreshed Renault badge up front, and sleeker headlamp and fog lamp units. It now rides on new 16-inch dual-tone alloys, with a bright yellow paint option joining the green. Plus, fresh C-pillar graphics and a smoked reverse lamp.
Higher trims can also be specced with an optional dual-tone treatment for the roof and pillars. To top it off, the functional roof rails aren’t just for show—they can hold up to 50kg of load, as per Renault.
On the inside, you’ll find a familiar cabin layout, now dressed up with a smarter black-and-light grey dashboard finish. Safety has been given a big boost too, with every variant now packing six airbags, along with ESP, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill-start assist as standard.
The top-spec trim turns up the indulgence with ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, auto headlamps and wipers, wireless charging, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit.
Under the hood, the system remains unchanged. You can pick from four powertrain choices — a 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, and a punchier 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol paired with a CVT or 5-speed manual.
