Royal Enfield has taken the wraps off the all-new Classic 650 Twin, the latest model to feature the brand’s beloved 648cc engine. Staying true to the iconic design of the Classic 350, the Classic 650 sports a familiar retro look, complete with a round headlamp, small front beak, tiger lamps, teardrop fuel tank, and rounded fenders.
This bigger sibling in the Classic lineup includes a digi-analogue display and adds a gear position indicator and the Tripper navigation pod as standard. Factory-fitted adjustable brake and clutch levers add convenience to this classic-inspired ride.
The Classic 650 Twin is powered by Royal Enfield’s 648cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 47hp at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm of torque at 5,650rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. The frame, brakes, twin shock absorbers, and swingarm mirror the setup found on the Shotgun 650.
The bike features a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, along with a 43mm telescopic fork. It’s fitted with MRF Nylohigh tires, sized 100/90-19 up front and 140/70-R18 at the rear. Suspension travel matches the Shotgun 650, offering 120mm at the front and 90mm at the rear. Available in Vallam Red, Bruntingthorpe Blue, Teal, and Black Chrome, the Classic 650 Twin is expected to launch in India by February 2025.
