Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 also comes in Plus and Ultra sizes

One size fits all

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has been the only better Android-based alternative to Apple’s iPad lineup. The Tab S7 was great but it only came in two sizes. The regular and Plus. The Tab S8 here comes in three sizes. All of which have almost the same internals barring the size and RAM.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the biggest and the heaviest of the lot. The 14.6in AMOLED display (2960x1848) is as big as a modern-day work laptop but unlike a laptop, the Ultra has a notch. Hopefully, that 11,200mAh battery will last you an entire day as well. There’s a 45W fast charger in the box of all the variants.

All the tablets also get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor to do the heavy lifting along with 8 or 12GB of RAM. The Ultra also gets a laptop-crushing 16GB RAM along with 512GB storage. You can upgrade all tablets to 1TB storage with a microSD card.

Obviously, no Samsung Tablet is without an S-Pen and all variants also get an S-Pen in the box (take note Apple). You can even slap on a keyboard cover which is sold separately. Yes, the Tab S8 can be expensive but it’s not shy of modern connectivity. There’s Wi-Fi 6E, LTE and 5G support on all Tab S8 variants.

They also have USB Type-C 3.2, speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint reader (the base S8 gets fingerprint reader on the side key) and a rear 13MP camera with 6MP ultra-wide lens too. All variants get a 12MP ultra-wide front camera as well but the S8 Ultra has an extra 12MP wide camera too. The Tab S8 (11in display) starts at ₹58,999, while the Tab S8+ (12.4in display) starts at ₹74,999 and Tab S8 Ultra (14.6in display) starts from ₹1,08,999.
