Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series may have larger displays and thinner bezel

Time got supersized?

A new device can't truly claim its place in the tech realm until it has had the honour of at least two dozen leaks. It's almost a rite of passage, currently in this passage is the up and coming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series. A new leak for both the watches in the series offers us an exclusive glimpse as to how the next batch of Wear OS based smartwatches will look.

From the look of it, it seems Samsung has decided to maintain its design language for the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6, continuing the trend from the past two generations. While the overall design looks largely unchanged, Samsung has incorporated larger OLED displays in the watches. This adjustment reduces the size of the bezels.

Similar to the previous year, we think the standard Galaxy Watch 6 will come in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. And the Watch 6 Classic will come in 43mm and 47mm versions. Notably, the Classic model can also reintroduce the physical rotating bezel, which was last seen in the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. In terms of colour options, the Watch 6 variants could be available in black, silver, and a new beige variant.

All models are expected to feature the Exynos W930 processor and Samsung will also offer optional LTE variants of the watches. Overall, these updates suggest that Samsung is aiming to deliver a refreshed and versatile lineup of Galaxy Watches with enhanced features and a modern aesthetic.

According to reports, the Galaxy Watch 6 series is expected to make its debut at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, set to take place in late July. Stay tuned for more!
