If your lifestyle entails dangerous and harsh environments, you will definitely require a smartphone capable of withstanding whatever is thrown your way (literally). Priced at €629 (approx ₹51,985), Samsung’s new Galaxy XCover 6 Pro is the latest in its lineup of rugged smartphones.

Not only is the design durable, but it is also sustainable. Samsung has used recycled plastics and a replaceable battery. The replaceable 4,050mAh battery allows the phone to maintain performance through its long lifespan.

As you’d expect from a phone with this target demographic, the XCover 6 Pro has a shock-resistant, rugged MIL-STD-810H certified design, more than capable of surviving a few drops. It even has a new feature called “Glove Touch,” which makes it easier for people wearing gloves to use the phone. The IP68 rating, assures the phone to survive under a metre of water for over half an hour.

The smartphone sports a 6.6in Full HD+ 120Hz TFT LCD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ capable of withstanding severe weather, drops, and other hazards of fieldwork. Powered by Snapdragon 778G processor, the phone runs on Android OS, and is protected by Samsung’s Knox security. It packs in 6GB of RAM alongside 128GB of storage. It also features a dual-camera setup and uses a USC-C or the Pogo pins at the bottom for charging.
