Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 Indian prices announced

Samsung goes for gold in gymnastics

Having had enough practice, Samsung is back in the ring with a new duo to challenge in gadget athletics. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 may look like iterative improvements over the last generation, but a lot has changed under their glassy cover screens.
To start with, both get upgraded to the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and both get flagship level cameras. The Galaxy Z Fold 4, for instance, gets an all-new 50MP primary camera and a 30x telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The Nightography, which is Samsung speak for optimised low-light photography, gets an improved ISP, which means more brightness and faster processing, thanks to the new SoC. Of course, the Fold still remains a master at multitasking and to aid power users even further, Samsung has a new taskbar for quick app swaps now. At 263gm, it is also the lightest Fold device yet.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 gets a new portrait mode option for the larger cover screen along with a new Quick Response AI feature to respond to actions without the need to flip it open. Not so ironic.
There’s a 3,700mAh battery with fast charge, promising 0-50% in 30 minutes and you may need that because the screens have bumped up brightness too. The Fold 4 now comes in at an astounding 1,300 nits and the Flip 4 manages a respectable 900 nits. Both get 120Hz refresh rate support too and the hinge mechanism will take more than 2,00,000 fold operations. Go on then, get to work, Spock.
