Sony's latest flagship, the WF-1000XM5 truly wireless earbuds have hit the shelves and they’re backed by some bold assertions. Sony says it brings “the most exceptional call quality to date”.
The earbuds leverage the new V2 processor and QN2e HD noise-cancelling processor, complemented by an advanced AI algorithm rooted in Deep Neural Network technology, all aimed at minimising wind noise. Each earbud has three microphones for low-frequency noise reduction and the ear tips have been revamped featuring polyurethane construction, to enhance noise isolation in the high-frequency spectrum by effectively blocking out sounds.
Compared to their older sibling, the WF-1000XM5 earbuds have shed 25% of their size and 20% of their weight. But dare you be fooled by their slimmed-down appearance, the earbuds pack a Dynamic Driver X that serves up a broad range of sound frequencies. There is also a new diaphragm structure to deliver clear highs and deep bass with minimal noise distortion, as per Sony.
Not to mention, the earbuds have got adaptive sound control, a speak-to-chat feature, and multi-point connectivity, along with an IPX4 rating. Plus, you can fine-tune your audio experience using the Sony Headphones app. On their own, they'll play for you for a solid 8 hours, and with their case in tow, you're looking at 24 hours of playback.
