Sony ZV-E10 II promises improved performance in a sleek package

The second-gen vlogging cam!

Sony’s ZV-E10 is back with a second-gen upgrade—Sony’s ZV-E10 II—and it’s geared up for content creators. This new version packs some nice upgrades, like a bigger battery, a better sensor, and the ability to shoot in 4K at 60 frames per second.

Sony says the improvements are based on the new 26-megapixel Exmor R CMOS APS-C sensor and Sony’s latest Bionz XR processor. Thanks to these tweaks, you can also now capture 4K60p video. In simple terms, you’re getting crisper, clearer footage.

Improved internals also translate to better autofocus with real-time Eye AF for humans, animals, and even birds, plus real-time tracking to keep your subjects in sharp focus. The battery has also gotten a boost for the NP-FZ100. As per Sony, it means you can shoot for up to 195 minutes on a single charge.

The camera comes with a built-in 3-capsule mic that lets you choose the direction it picks up sound from, and it includes a windscreen to cut down on noise. For those looking to up their vlogging game, it has a Cinematic Vlog setting that automatically tweaks the aspect ratio, frame rate, and autofocus transitions for a more polished look with minimal effort.

You also get five different “Looks” including S-Cinetone and four “Moods” to play with, which help highlight various colours. Plus, there are handy buttons for quick access to Background Defocus and Product Showcase modes.

Also, with social media’s vertical video craze, the ZV-E10 II now features a new vertical UI that automatically switches between horizontal and vertical orientations, making it easy to record in any format you need. Plus, the vari-angle LCD screen lets you shoot from just about any angle comfortably. The camera is priced at ₹94,990 (body-only).
