Messi will don these black and gold boots as he continues to add to his stellar list of achievements at the Copa América tournament. For the first time, fans can lace up in boots that mirror the exact, unique design specifications Messi himself selects for his on-pitch magic.
The shoes have a 'burrito' style tongue closure, customised to Leo's ideal fit, and are crafted with knit material to ensure maximum comfort. The Hybrid Touch upper, an enhancement of the recently launched inline F50, has synthetic suede and foil material with a soft, tactile finish, providing superior vamp stability and comfort when handling the ball at high speeds.
The visual design of the Triunfo Dorado draws inspiration from one of the franchise's most iconic boots – the F50 Prime. And, like the other F50 releases, these boots rest on a Sprintframe 360 soleplate, engineered for optimal stability and traction. The heel counter on the soleplate collaborates with a stud configuration of rounded and bladed studs, ensuring steady footing at push-off. Adidas says this design supports multidirectional speed and acceleration.
The gold colourway, Adidas says, symbolises Messi's recent historic achievements on the international stage with Argentina and underscores his status as the current champion of both the World and the Americas. The Lionel Messi F50 Triunfo Dorado pack is available from June 20.
