Tata Altroz Racer launched in India for a starting price of ₹9.49 lakh (ex-showroom)

It's got the vroom and the va-va-voom!

Tata Altroz Racer has hit the Indian market with a starting point of Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and going all the way up to Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Altroz Racer is offered in three trim levels - R1, R2, and R3. If you're looking for the perfect blend of features and affordability, the mid-level R2 variant might just be the sweet spot, coming in at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Altroz Racer is the flagship variant of the Altroz series. The premium hatchback comes with an array of new features, including a 360-degree camera, a 26.03 cm infotainment touchscreen, ventilated seats, and an impressive 6 airbags as standard safety features. Altroz Racer is also touted as the only hatchback in its class to offer a 6-speed manual gearbox, accompanied by a sporty exhaust note. 

Under the hood, the Altroz Racer packs a 1.2 L Turbo petrol engine, churning out 120 Ps of power and 170 Nm of torque. The car comes in three colours – Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, or Avenue White. In addition to the Racer, Tata Motors has also expanded the Altroz lineup with the introduction of two new variants - XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX - and an upgraded XZ+OS variant. These new additions will be offered with a range of powertrain options, including petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel, and CNG.
