TCL’s latest X955 is a 115-inch QD-Mini LED TV that sets a significant milestone in display tech. Touted as the world’s largest QD-Mini LED TV, it incorporates over 20,000 local dimming zones. The TV supports HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision IQ, with a colour gamut covering 98% of DCI-P3. It offers peak brightness levels of up to 5000 nits.

The X955 is powered by TCL’s AiPQ 3.0 engine, which uses AI-driven algorithms to refine picture quality in real-time. The Quantum Dot Pro technology, as per TCL, combines the best features of QLED and OLED, offering vibrant colours, enhanced contrast, and a longer lifespan. It works with Google TV, providing access to a wide range of streaming services and apps, along with personalised recommendations. The TV supports Wi-Fi 6 for faster connectivity and includes four HDMI 2.1 ports.

For audio, TCL has partnered with Onkyo to include a 6.2.2 sound system, complete with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. For gaming enthusiasts, the X955 is equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) at 144Hz. A 240Hz Dual Line Gate mode further improves motion clarity for fast-paced gaming scenarios, making it compatible with both PCs and the latest gaming consoles, as per TCL.

The design of the X955 is minimal and elegant, with an ultra-slim unibody that allows it to mount flush to the wall.
