The much-awaited Google Pixel Fold is here!

Ready to experience the foldable revolution with Google's latest offering?

An array of leaks, speculations and assumptions ends here as the Google Pixel Fold is finally launched. To give you an idea, the Pixel is wider than Samsung's flagship foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and looks more like the Oppo Find N and Find N2.

The metal finish of the Pixel 7 smartphone also makes a comeback with two cutouts for the camera sensors. And, it has Google's signature camera visor on the back panel, which we saw in the Pixel 6 series.

The front of the Pixel Fold boasts a 5.8in OLED cover screen with an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate support, and Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus protection. This screen has a 24-bit colour depth and offers HDR support, making it a treat for your eyes. Plus, the centred hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera is a thoughtful touch.

But the real magic happens when you open the Pixel Fold to reveal a larger 7.6in OLED foldable display with a 6:5 aspect ratio, 2208x1840p resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate support. This foldable display comes with HDR support and a peak brightness of 1450nits, it's perfect for binge-watching your favourite shows.

It has a multi-alloy steel hinge with a mirror-polished finish. And, the custom dual-axis, quad-cam synchronized mechanism provides fluid friction across the full 180-degree range of motion, allowing you to prop the phone open at several angles. Plus, the transition from closed to open is touted to be quite smooth.

Under the hood, the Pixel Fold boasts the same second-gen Tensor SoC as the Pixel 7 lineup with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Titan M2 security co-processor adds an extra layer of protection to the device. And, it has a 4,727mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging support and Qi wireless charging. With ‘beyond 24-hour battery life’ and up to 72-hour battery life with Extreme Batt, Google claims you'll never have to worry about running out of juice.

As for optics, the smartphone packs a 48MP primary camera with OIS with an 82-degree field of view. There’s also a 10.8MP ultra-wide camera along with a 10.8MP telephoto camera with Super Res Zoom of up to 20x. Plus, there is a 9.5MP selfie shooter over the cover screen and an 8MP selfie camera on the inner screen. The Pixel Fold offers all the camera features you get with other Pixel smartphones like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Real Tone, Face Unblur, and Live HDR+.

And let's not forget about the IPX8 water resistance rating, which is a rarity in the world of foldable. The Pixel Fold will be available in Obsidian and Porcelain colourways, priced at $1,800 (around ₹1,47,500).
