Third Generation of Amazon Fire TV Cube comes with a faster processor and 4K-upscaling

More power to the new generation

Amazon has just announced the latest third generation of Fire TV Cube and touted it as the fastest and most powerful Fire TV streaming player (however, we’ll have to lay our hands on it to believe them).

The new iteration comes with a faster octa-core 2.0 GHz processor that, as per the brand, makes the Fire TV Cube 20% more powerful than its predecessor. Amazon ensures that the supercharged processor enhances the app launch speed thus offering a faster and smoother streaming as well as viewing experience.

The third generation Fire TV Cube also features 4K-upscaling that means it can convert HD content into cinematic 4K for greater detail. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR, and immersive sound with Dolby Atmos Audio. Another feature worthy of our attention is the ability to control the home entertainment systems via hands-free Alexa.

The streaming media player also sports an HDMI input port that will allow users to connect other entertainment devices directly to the Cube as a result switching to DTH wouldn’t require any manual efforts like changing inputs. It also has an additional USB port for connection to compatible webcams for video calling with Alexa Communications.

Along with the latest Fire TV Cube, Amazon also announced the launch of a new Alexa Voice Remote Pro with first-ever Remote Finder feature, backlighting, and customisable buttons for personalised shortcuts.

You will have to shell out ₹13,999 for the latest Fire TV Cube and ₹2,499 for the Alexa Voice Remote Pro.
