Triumph Speed 400 launched at ₹2.33 lakhs

Time to make your mark on the asphalt

Just one week after their grand unveiling, one of the Triumph 400 duo has hit the Indian market! Say hello to the magnificent Triumph Speed 400, a ride that marks the collaboration between Triumph and Bajaj. With a price tag of ₹2.33 lakhs (ex-showroom, India) it's now up for grabs. The Scrambler 400 X is still playing hard to get as its price and launch date are yet to be revealed.

Let's get to the juicy details. Underneath that sleek exterior, this motorbike is powered by a new 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that's ready to roar. With 40hp and 37.5Nm of torque, it's got some serious oomph! And dare you let its size fool you — the Speed 400 weighs a modest 170kg and cruises on 17in alloy rims at both ends, hugging the pavement with MRF Steel Brace rubber.

The real kicker is the engine. It's called the TR-series, and it's paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While the output figures are in the same ballpark as the KTM 390s (also made in India by Bajaj), our British duo brings their peak performance earlier in the rev band. After all, it's all about that exhilarating acceleration! To read more about the bikes you can click here.
