TVS Ronin is the latest neo-retro scrambler in the Indian market

Ride along…

Scramblers are the do-anything, go-anywhere machines that have seen quite a bit of growth in the Indian market recently. The latest addition, the TVS Ronin comes with an array of colour options with prices starting at ₹1.49lakh (ex-showroom).

The Ronin, in true scrambler fashion, ensures a planted and relaxed ride even in the stressful city traffic. Equipped with nine-spoke alloy wheels and block tread tyres, the Ronin allows you to traverse new terrain. The rain and urban ABS modes keep you relatively safe in the city during our gentle Indian monsoon (as safe as you can be around extremely talented taxi drivers, that is).

Powered by a 225.9-cc, fuel-injected, oil-cooled, petrol engine, the bike generates 20 Ps and 19.1Nm of peak torque. Equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, the motorcycle claims a top speed of 120kph. Their all-new chassis has also seen other improved design elements such as the Signature T-shaped pilot lamp, equipped with all LED lights, an improved chain cover, exhaust and muffler design. The display even sports an asymmetric speedometer (cause they are bougie like that).

Featuring an Integrated Starter Generator you can start up and sneak out with minimal noise with a feather-like touch start. The bike also packs in an upside-down front fork, a rear mono-shock, glide-through technology and a three-step adjustable lever.

Like everything these days, the bike too comes equipped with Smart features in the form of the digital cluster, SmartXonnect and a Ride Analysis on the TVS Arrive app. The onboard tech allows you to access information including Distance to Empty, Estimated Time of Arrival, Gear Shift Assist, Side Stand Position Indicator, Engine Inhibitor, Service Due Indication, and a Low Battery Indicator. It also alerts you about incoming calls, turn-by-turn navigation and comes with a voice assistant (no we aren't describing a smartphone).
