Ultimate Ears Epicboom launches a durable boombox

For the ones who never want the party to end

When we talk about speakers that make waves as well as float on them, the Ultimate Ears’ Epicboom does just that. This sleek, oval-shaped speaker not only delivers powerful, bass-heavy sound but also boasts impressive durability. Designed to be as eye-catching as it is functional, the Epicboom features a dirt-resistant fabric and oversized rubber volume controls. It's available in eye-catching colourways with some pretty sounding names like Cotton White + Lipstick Red and Charcoal Black + Lime.

One of its standout features is the 4.6-inch woofer, promising a 360-degree audio experience. An internal mic detects your environment and adjusts the EQ balance accordingly, ensuring optimal audio quality. The BOOM app lets users fine-tune settings, including an Outdoor Boost mode for extra bass. The IP67 rating given to the speakers means that dust and water are not things you have to worry about when packing for your beach day. It will also float back up if you drop it in the pool.

The battery is said to allow a monstrous 17 hours of playtime. A USB-C port is also built-in so that the party won't stop. Connectivity is seamless with PartyUP mode enabling wireless connections to other Ultimate Ear speakers such as the Megaboom, Megaboom 3, and Hyperboom. Plus, NFC allows quick pairing with smartphones with NFC compatibility.

Cramming in all of these features the speaker comes with a price tag of £330 (₹34,000 approx). The Epicboom is available on the Ultimate Ears website, offering a superb balance of sound quality and sustainability in a portable package.
