Ultraviolette has unveiled its latest electric ride, the X47 Crossover, priced at Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for early buyers. At first glance, it carries the rugged stance of an adventure tourer, featuring sharp, angular lines that flow into a single-piece seat. The chassis is crafted from cast aluminium. A windscreen shields the rider from gusts, while the high-set handlebars and knuckle guards add comfort and protection on long rides.
For added utility, Ultraviolette offers panniers and auxiliary lights as optional accessories. The bike’s ergonomics are supported by a space-age cast subframe, designed to keep the seating firm and stable while tackling diverse terrains.
Power comes from a 10.7 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor delivering 40 hp and 610 Nm of torque at the wheel. This setup lets the bike sprint from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed capped at 145 km/h, while offering an IDC range of 323 km on a single charge.
The battery is air-cooled and integrated into the chassis, charged via a 1.6 kW onboard charger, and comes with built-in safety features like surge protection and earth leakage protection.
The X47 Crossover comes with radar-based ADAS features under Ultraviolette’s UV Hypersense system, a first in its segment. It offers a 150-degree front view, 68-degree rear vertical coverage, and a 200m tracking range, enabling smart safety alerts like rear collision warnings, lane change assist, and overtake notifications. The bike also sports dual-channel ABS, four-level traction control, 9-level regenerative braking, dynamic stability control, and a tow alert system.
Riders interact with the bike through a new TFT display showing everything from speed, range, and odometer to dynamic lean angles and connectivity stats, while a secondary screen highlights ADAS outputs. The X47 Crossover comes in three trims, Laser, Airstrike, and Shadow, each offering the same suite of advanced tech.
Additionally, the X47 Crossover features upside-down (USD) front forks and a rear monoshock for a balanced ride, with single-disc brakes front and rear.
