ViewSonic LX700-4K is a ceiling-mounted home projector with RGB laser tech

For the thrill of the big screen!

ViewSonic has introduced the LX700-4K RGB, a laser projector designed for home installations and touted as the world’s first ceiling-mounted home projector. Featuring RGB laser technology, this projector is also said to achieve full BT.2020 colour gamut coverage, offering vivid, true-to-life colours, as per Viewsonic.

The LX700-4K RGB is also equipped with a 1.6x optical zoom, capable of projecting images up to a massive 300 inches. The projector delivers 4K resolution with HDR and HLG support, along with a native contrast ratio of 3000000:1 powered by a 0.65-inch Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) chip. With high colour saturation and contrast, the projector offers 5,200 RGB laser lumens, making it a solid choice for home cinema setups.

Viewsonic says the projector uses Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology—the same tech found in IMAX theatres and the majority of digital cinemas. Additionally, it includes HDMI eARC support, making it compatible with high-quality audio setups. Gamers will appreciate its support for popular consoles like Xbox and PlayStation, with QHD 1440p at 120Hz, 4.2ms input, and a responsive 240Hz refresh rate. The LX700-4K RGB is priced at ₹4,95,000.
