Vivo Y400 5G launched in India for a starting price of Rs. 21,999

A new option joins the Y-series lineup!

Vivo has launched the Y400 5G in India, expanding its Y-series portfolio with a focus on durability and design. Priced from Rs. 21,999, the device features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1800 nits. 

It’s powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM (plus 8GB virtual RAM) and up to 256GB storage. Vivo claims the phone will maintain stable software performance for up to 50 months.

The Vivo Y400 5G features a 50MP Sony IMX852 main rear camera and a 32MP front camera. It supports underwater photography via physical buttons, bypassing the touchscreen. Camera tools include AI Erase 2.0, AI Photo Enhance, and Live Photo.

On the software side, Vivo also introduces a new AI Suite running on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. It includes tools like AI Note Assist for summaries, AI Transcript Assist for audio-to-text conversion, Circle to Search, and AI Superlink to streamline everyday tasks.

The Vivo Y400 5G features a 6,00mah battery, which the company claims will maintain its health for up to four years. It supports 90W fast charging—going from 1% to 50% in around 20 minutes—and includes a Bypass Charging mode to reduce heat during intensive use.

For audio, the phone features dual stereo speakers with a claimed 400% volume boost. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
