Will the Xiaomi 13 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 launch in India?

Old wine, new bottle?

The Xiaomi 13 Pro was launched about a month back and it sure made quite a buzz with its Leica collaboration. Now it's time for the Xiaomi 13 to try its luck with a lesser price (hopefully).

The device has already been launched in China so we pretty much have a comprehension of its design, specs, features and pricing. Just like the 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13 too is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and runs on Android 13.

The smartphone has a 6.36in OLED screen with a 1080 x 2400 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. And just like the 13 Pro, this one too has a camera system co-engineerd with Leica. The triple camera setup has a 50MP primary sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3.2x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide along with a 32MP selfie snapper. As per Xiaomi, the smartphone is also capable of capturing videos in up to 8K quality at 24fps.

And the Xiaomi 13 has a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. In the global market, the smartphone comes in several colour options like understated black, light green, light blue, gray and white shades at a price of £849 (₹86,135) so we shall see if the cost remains the same or is changed for the Indian variant.
