Boat has unveiled its latest smartwatch, Wave Fortune, featuring an NFC-enabled Tap & Pay function for contactless payments. Built in partnership with Axis Bank, this feature allows users to tokenise their Axis Bank credit or debit cards (Mastercard/VISA) using the boAt Crest Pay app, thanks to Tappy’s tokenisation technology.
Once set up, you can make payments directly from your wrist, with transactions up to ₹5,000 on POS terminals not requiring a PIN, making the process quick, secure, and hassle-free.
The Wave Fortune smartwatch sports a 1.96-inch HD display with a resolution of 240x282 pixels and a peak brightness of 550 nits. With a raise-to-wake gesture, checking the time or viewing notifications is quick and effortless. You can also customise the watch’s appearance using the DIY Watch Face Studio, which allows personal images, themes, or artwork to be set as the home screen.
