Xiaomi India unveils AI support in 11 languages

AI support that speaks your language

Xiaomi India has just dropped a rather interesting development - an all-new, AI-enabled Customer Support Center. Now, while they've been doing the whole customer service thing across voice, chat, and the usual channels for a while, this new setup looks to be a step up in the smarts department. The aim? A smoother, faster, and generally more helpful experience for their users.

Here's the bit that caught our eye: Xiaomi India is now claiming to be the first smartphone brand in the country to offer customer support in a whopping eleven regional languages. That's a pretty significant move towards making sure everyone across India can get help in their own tongue. Plus, the 24/7 chat and social media support isn't going anywhere, and it's all backed by a three-level system to try and sort out your issues without too much faff.

This new AI brain behind the scenes is supposed to help roll out new support features quicker, speed up response times, and even learn from interactions to get better over time. Xiaomi's also talking about things like video guides for their top-end phones and even live video help for telly troubles. Looks like they're trying to be a bit more hands-on with their support for simpler issues which may not necessarily need human intervention.

Following on from their sign language support launch last year, this feels like Xiaomi continuing to try and make their support more accessible for everyone using their phones and other smart gadgets.

Xiaomi has often said they want to be seen as a friendly and cool company by their users. This new AI support center, with its focus on local languages and smarter assistance, seems like another step in that direction.
