Formula 1 fans in India rejoice - ahead of the upcoming 2024 season opener in Bahrain, F1 has tied up with streaming service Fancode to make F1 races available to watch live in India. Fancode takes over as the official India broadcaster for 2024 and 2025, giving viewers in India an additional streaming option apart from the F1 TV app with the Pro subscription. Interestingly, Fancode is also going to be a lot more affordable to subscribe to, and you'll also have the option to subscribe for individual race weekends.
Pricing for F1 in India on Fancode starts at ₹49 per race weekend, or ₹599 for the F1 season pass covering all 24 races in the 2024 season. Practice sessions, qualifiying, and the main race are covered in all subscriptions, with F2 and F3 race sessions included as well, similar to what is offered on F1 TV.
Usefully, viewers in India can also choose to subscribe to F1 TV Pro for access to F1 live streaming, including F2 and F3 races. F1 TV Pro is priced at ₹2499 for one year, and lets you watch on up to six screens simultaneously. Various screen views include driver cameras for each of the 20 drivers, live circuit maps, and race statistics for all race sessions. You can also choose between the F1 TV broadcast and commentary, or the more familiar international commentary by the Sky Sports team, featuring Martin Brundle and David Croft.
The 2024 F1 season kicks off this weekend, with the Bahrain GP main race scheduled for Saturday March 2. F1 subscribers on Fancode can use the mobile apps to view race sessions on compatible devices, including Android and iOS smartphones, as well as select Android TV devices.
