Xiaomi's latest tellies put Alexa and Amazon's Fire TV ecosystem front and centre

Ditch the dongle

Xiaomi India is looking to muscle further into your living room, today launching its new Xiaomi QLED TV FX Pro and Xiaomi 4K TV FX series. The big hook for these new televisions isn't just fancy panels or speakers, but the integration of Amazon's Fire TV platform directly into the sets. This means access to thousands of apps via the Amazon Appstore and the convenience of Alexa voice control baked right in, aiming for a smarter, more seamless entertainment hub for Indian homes.

The star of the pair is the Xiaomi QLED TV FX Pro, which was initially available as a 55-inch model. As the name suggests, it uses a QLED panel promising lifelike colours, good contrast, and brightness, enhanced further by HDR10+ support for better detail in bright and dark scenes. Sound hasn't been neglected either, with 34W box speakers tuned with support for Dolby Audio, DTS:X, and DTS Virtual:X technology to create a more immersive, room-filling audio experience. Under the hood, a quad-core A55 processor and 32GB of storage keep things running smoothly, while connectivity includes three HDMI ports (one with eARC), USB ports, Bluetooth, and Ethernet.

Alongside the Pro, Xiaomi also launched the more mainstream Xiaomi 4K TV FX series, available in 43-inch and 55-inch sizes. These sets offer a 4K UHD picture within a premium metal bezel-less design and feature Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X for clear sound. Crucially, they also get the Fire TV built-in experience, including Alexa voice search (in English, Hindi, and Hinglish), Picture-in-Picture mode (letting you view compatible security camera feeds while watching content), and support for AirPlay 2 and Miracast screen mirroring.

The Fire TV integration allows access to over 12,000 apps, including major streaming services like Prime Video, Netflix, and JioHotstar (subscriptions may apply), plus live channels. You can even ask Alexa to switch between DTH channels and OTT apps without changing inputs, provided you have a compatible DTH provider. Control comes via a new Xiaomi remote featuring app hotkeys and an Alexa voice button.

Both the Xiaomi QLED TV FX Pro and Xiaomi 4K TV FX series are set to be available starting May 12th, 2025. Pricing for the 55-inch QLED TV FX Pro is Rs 39,999. The 4K TV FX series costs Rs 26,499 for the 43-inch model and Rs 36,999 for the 55-inch version. Launch offers include cashback via HDFC Bank EMI. The TVs will be available across Amazon.in, Flipkart (select models), and mi.com.
