Fun fact: We are closer to 2050 than 1990. Wild, right? If you happen to be the nostalgic kind who has a fond memory of your childhood, you will probably agree that it's important that our childhood games are being brought to the silver screen because they hold a special place in our hearts. These are the games that we grew up playing, the ones that we spent countless hours on (both, board games and video games) that have in some way definitely helped shape who we are today… Nerds!

But let's be real, it's also important because we all secretly want an excuse to relive our childhoods without looking like we're stuck in the past. And what better way to do that than to see our favourite games and characters come to life on the big screen? Plus, it's a great way to introduce a new terrifying generation to the games that we loved and cherished. Seems to be a ray of hope for the generation of Peppa Pig!

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Wahoo! Mario and Luigi are back on the big screen, but this time it's not just about saving the princess, cause hey, it’s 2023. With stunning graphics and plenty of action, the Super Mario Bros are embarking on their biggest adventure yet. They'll need to battle old foes, explore new worlds, and maybe even learn some new tricks along the way. Get ready to power up and join the party - Super Mario Bros 2023 is going to be a blast!

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Grab your dice and sharpen your swords because the epic adventure of Dungeons & Dragons is returning to the big screen. This time, a band of rogues must put aside their differences to complete a dangerous heist. With thrilling action, stunning visuals, and a cast of characters you won't soon forget, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is sure to be a wild ride. 

Barbie

Not everyone has the fondest memories when it comes to this one but hey she’s the OG  fashion icon and she never lied about being made of plastic! But now Barbie is stepping into the spotlight in her own live-action feature film. Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, this spoof-ish comedy will have all of you Barbies and Kens laughing your guts out. Watch along as they navigate the ups and downs of life in the modern world. From glamorous parties to unexpected adventures, there's never a dull moment when Barbie is around.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

If you think you have aged, a glimpse of dear old Indy is sure to catch you by surprise. So dust off your fedoras and whip out your bullwhips, because Mr Jones is back for another thrilling adventure. In Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, our hero will race against time to find a mysterious artefact that could change the course of history. Typical stuff but nostalgia means something, right? Also, Lucasfilm Games has announced a new videogame featuring the famous adventurer Indiana Jones. The upcoming game will be created by MachineGames, known for their work on Wolfenstein, and Todd Howard, director of Bethesda Game Studios, will serve as an executive producer. As always, Indiana Jones will be on a globe-trotting quest for treasure and artefacts.

Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse

The multiverse is in danger (as usual?), and it seems this time only Spider-Man can save it. Join Miles Morales as he teams up with other versions of himself from different dimensions to stop a threat that could destroy everything. With stunning animation, pulse-pounding action, and a killer soundtrack, Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse is sure to be a hit with fans of all ages. Who knows it might even lead to a new videogame for us to enjoy!
