Samsung Galaxy S24 series: Everything we know (so far)

Here’s what's on the cards

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, the attention in the tech world is now shifting towards the upcoming Galaxy S24 series of smartphones, coming to us in early 2024.

In the latest scoop from tipster Ice Universe, these models are set to undergo a significant design shift, with both of them adopting flat sides, much like what you find on iPhones.

To jog your memory, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus had those flat sides too, but they bulged out a bit, giving a hint of curvature. But this time, it seems Samsung is taking a page from the iPhone’s playbook, going for that flat frame and bidding adieu to those curved screens. The tipster also dropped a nugget that the camera setup might not change much from the Galaxy S23.

Leaks in the grapevine have also been hinting at something interesting for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – it might sport a Titanium frame. This switch from the usual aluminium on the Galaxy S23 Ultra could mean a lighter yet tougher phone in the works.

Anticipate a bit of a split when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. Depending on where you're buying, you might get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or an in-house Exynos 2400 under the hood. The US versions of these babies just made a cameo on Geekbench too. We also expect new camera tricks and screen upgrades across the lineup. The Galaxy S24 Plus, in particular, is expected to stretch out to a 6.65in display. Stay tuned for more updates.
