Huawei has unveiled its latest flip phone, the Pura X, in China. Ditching Android app support entirely, it runs on HarmonyOS Next and introduces Huawei’s in-house AI assistant, Harmony Intelligence.
The clamshell foldable features a 6.3-inch inner display with a 16:10 aspect ratio—touted as the widest on any flip phone yet. On the outside, a 3.5-inch screen flexes a 120Hz LTPO 2.0 adaptive refresh rate. Both panels offer 1440Hz PWM dimming and 300Hz touch sampling rate.
Under the hood, Huawei keeps the chipset under wraps, though whispers suggest a Kirin 9010 variant might be in play. As for optics, the Pura X has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP OIS primary sensor, flanked by a 40MP ultra-wide macro and an 8MP OIS telephoto. Up front, a 10.7MP sensor is tucked inside for selfies and video calls.

Huawei’s Pura X is powered by a 4,720mAh silicon-carbon battery with 66W wired fast charging and a 40W wireless option. An IPX8 rating ensures it can survive an unexpected splash, while a full suite of sensors—ranging from an IR blaster to a gesture sensor—adds a touch of futuristic finesse. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Pura X lands in China with a starting price of CNY 7499 (roughly ₹89,000).
