Alongside the latest X200 series heavyweights — the Vivo X200 Ultra and X200s — Vivo’s also rolled out two fresh tablets – the Vivo Pad 5 Pro and the more classroom-friendly Vivo Pad SE. Let’s break it down for you, dearest reader!

Vivo Pad 5 Pro

The pad features a 13-inch IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 144Hz refresh rate, along with 1,200 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it’s powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip. Plus, it has the multitasking features of OriginOS 5.

Camera-wise, it sports an 8MP front sensor for calls and selfies and a 13MP shooter with LED flash on the back. All this is wrapped in a 5.96mm chassis, weighing 578g. The device supports an optional keyboard with a built-in trackpad and packs in eight speakers. There’s a 12,050mAh battery promising up to 16 hours of video playback, topped up via 66W USB-C fast charging. Vivo Pad 5 Pro starts at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,000).

Vivo Pad SE

The Vivo Pad SE takes a more education-centric approach with features for students and young learners like a built-in scanner app for digitising textbooks and an AI-driven learning scheduler. It’s built around a 12.3-inch LCD with a 2464 x 1600 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and full sRGB colour coverage.

The standout here is the pad’s soft light screen — crafted using nano-etching AG tech that as per Vivo cuts down 97% of ambient light interference, reducing reflections and glare for more comfortable viewing during long study sessions. It's 6.8mm and weighs around 559g. The soft light version is 6.87mm thick and weighs 569g.

Under the hood, it’s likely running on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, paired with an 8,500mAh battery that charges at a modest 15W via USB-C. Dual 5MP cameras handle the basics, and four speakers round off the setup for media and classroom audio. The Vivo Pad SE starts at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 11,000).
