‘Twitter Verified Organizations’ is a subscription service for businesses to get the ‘tick’

What was previously called ‘Blue for Business’!

Twitter has come up with a new way for verification of organisations and just like its Twitter Blue service (that requires you to shell out the dough for the blue tick), the 'Verification for Organisations' subscription can also be purchased. The base subscription price per month for India is ₹82,300.

If the organisation is a business or non-profit it will get a gold checkmark and square avatar and if they are a governmental or multilateral organisation they’ll get a grey checkmark and circular avatar.

Plus, organisations can also choose to affiliate any individual or entity associated with them. An associated account gets verification (depicted by a blue, gold, or grey tick) and a badge that directs to the affiliated organisation. The affiliate seat subscription price per month is ₹4120 in India.

The information was shared via Tweet that read, “Verified Organizations is a new way for organisations and their affiliates to distinguish themselves on Twitter. Rather than relying on Twitter to be the sole arbiter of truth for which accounts should be verified, vetted organisations that sign up for Verified Organizations are in full control of vetting and verifying accounts they’re affiliated with.”

To apply for Twitter Verified Organizations, you can sign up here. You will get a confirmation email to the account you used to sign up to activate your Verified Organization account if you match the set requirements.
