AMD just launched the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, the very first mobile Ryzen chip with 3D V-Cache. You know those Ryzen 7045 laptops? Yes, they're packing the same stuff as those mighty Ryzen 7000 desktop CPUs that are believed to be among the best CPUs out there. So, it was only a matter of time until AMD blessed us with the mobile versions of their Ryzen 7000X3D series.

The Ryzen 9 7945HX3D chip promises to give you an unparalleled mobile gaming experience as it packs with 16 cores and 32 threads along with a massive 144 MB 3D V-Cache, a first for AMD's mobile gaming processors. With the ability to boost up to 5.4GHz, you can expect some smooth and fast gameplay.

AMD is not holding back on the hype for the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D,  they claim it's going to be the "world's fastest mobile gaming processor." It's also expected to outshine its cousin, the standard 7945HX, by over 15 percent in terms of speed. The secret sauce behind this performance boost lies in the 3D V-Cache technology which lets AMD place additional layers of cache directly onto the CPU. AMD claims that this feature will crank up Shadow of the Tomb Raider performance by 11% when operating at 70W TDP (thermal design power), and 23% when running at 40W TDP.

According to AMD’s presentation footnotes, they ran the benchmarks for the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D on an Asus Strix Scar 17, keeping things real at "1080p native" resolution. And to make sure the performance shines, they paired it up with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Not only did AMD unveil the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, but they've also got a surprise for you dear gamers. They’ve announced that the upcoming Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 X3D, scheduled to be launched in August 2023, will have the new gaming chipset. So get ready to get, set, go!
