Apple AirPods Pro (2nd gen) now come with USB Type-C connector

Time to upgrade your earbud game!

Apple is doing away with the old Lightning port in favour of USB-C for the entire iPhone 15 lineup. But it's clearly not stopping there. At the Wanderlust event, the Cupertino giant announced that it's doing the same switcheroo with the charging jack on the second-gen AirPods Pro from last year. So, you can now juice up your AirPods Pro case with a USB-C cable straight from your shiny new iPhone 15.

Along with changing the port, Apple is also adding more dust resistance for both the case and the earbuds. In the past, both of these had an IPX4 rating for water resistance, but now, they've both been upgraded to an IP54 rating. Apple also revealed that the USB-C case can now serve up some low-latency lossless audio action when paired with the Vision Pro. Thanks to the H2 chip, when Apple's headset launches next year, you can expect some top-notch 20-bit 48 kHz sound.

The second-gen AirPods Pro mark a significant leap forward from their predecessors, boasting superior audio quality and more enhanced active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities. One of these new features is Adaptive Audio, this tool fine-tunes both ANC and transparency mode based on your surroundings, blending the two modes to keep you in sync with the changing ambient soundscape. Then, there’s Personalized Volume. This feature, as per Apple, uses machine learning to predict how loud you want your audio based on your usage patterns over time. The third one is Conversation Awareness. This automatically lowers the volume and hones in on voices while reducing background noise when you start talking. You can already pre-order the latest AirPods Pro with the USB-C case for ₹24,999, and it will hit the market on September 22.
