Aston Martin has rolled out the red carpet for its all-new Vantage in India, with a starting price tag of ₹3.99 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Expect deliveries to begin in the final quarter of 2024. Draped in its latest, most dashing attire, this super sports coupe has undergone an exterior makeover. At the same time, the interior has been refined to a level of luxury that’s nothing short of a showstopper.
The Vantage's cabin takes cues from the elegant DB12. It features a newly developed 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an updated centre console. For those who wish to further enhance their experience, there are options like a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a heated and colour-keyed sports steering wheel, ventilated seats, and 16-way adjustable seats.
Aston Martin has equipped the Vantage with a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and driver drowsiness detection, among others. Additionally, the Vantage offers a 360-degree surround camera, an electric parking brake, traction control, and blind spot monitoring.
The new Vantage embraces a more daring design, with a visual stance that is noticeably more substantial than that of its predecessor. This version features an expanded stance, with an additional 30mm in width, enhancing its road presence. At the front, a grille spans almost the entire bumper, accompanied by redesigned intake vents at the sides and a more defined character line across the hood.
The sides of the Vantage reveal subtle refined fender air ducts, complemented by frameless mirrors and flush electronic door handles. The rear features a redesigned bumper and diffuser combination, emphasising the car's sporty character. For those seeking a personalised touch, the Vantage offers a choice of two 21-inch alloy wheel designs, each featuring bespoke detailing.
The car continues to rely on the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which now delivers 658 bhp and 800 Nm of peak torque. In comparison, the previous Vantage offered 504 bhp and 685 Nm. This engine is coupled with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, channelling power to the rear wheels through an electromechanical limited-slip differential.
In terms of performance, the Vantage accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 325 kmph, as per the brand. Additionally, the car features five selectable drive modes—Wet, Sport, Sports Plus, Track, and Individual—that adjust the drivetrain, steering, and chassis settings to suit different driving conditions and preferences.
