BGMI receives an exciting Dragon Ball Super-inspired update

BGMI becomes a Super Saiyan

Kids of the 90s and early 2000s can truly appreciate Dragon Ball Z like no other. Well, it’s time for a whole new generation to appreciate all things Dragon Ball. Krafton has partnered with Dragon Ball Super for an exciting update in the mobile game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). This collaboration introduces Dragon Ball Super elements into the game, including modes, items, vehicles, and areas, making it one of BGMI's most significant partnerships.

The update includes two Dragon Ball Super-themed modes. The first mode, running from August 9 to October 9, lets players collect seven Dragon Balls to summon Shenron for in-game rewards. Four new Dragon Ball Super areas are available in Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok, each offering rewards and a unique theme.

The second mode, active during the same period, transforms BGMI's gameplay into an animated art-style world. Players embody Dragon Ball Super characters like Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, and Ultimate Gohan, using their signature moves to battle. Spirit Crystlets and Crystals collected from the ground restore energy and upgrade moves.

Players can also utilize Ki for enhanced mobility and execute moves like the Kamehameha beam (like the kind you use behind your teacher’s back in class). Eating scattered Senzu Beans restores Ki, health, and energy. A challenging Dragon Ball Trial mode requires players to locate seven Dragon Balls while being tracked by other teams.

The update includes Dragon Ball Super-themed outfits and special features like the ACE32 assault rifle. Additionally, BGMI's creative mode gets improvements, and a partnership with Aston Martin is set to be announced as well.
