HP lifted the lid on its shiny new Omen Max 16 gaming laptop at CES 2025, featuring the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series GPU built on the Blackwell architecture. The company also debuted its first AI-powered gaming companion, Omen AI, designed to up your game. First, let’s look at what the Omen Max 16 brings to the table.
The Omen Max 16 offers a choice between Intel Core Ultra 9 or AMD Ryzen AI 9 mobile processors, paired with up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM. There’s also a new Unleashed Mode in the Omen Gaming Hub, giving gamers manual control over power settings. And, of course, Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 50 series GPU with DLSS 4 to ensure smooth gameplay and sharper visuals.

HP has also fine-tuned its gaming ecosystem by enhancing compatibility with HyperX peripherals. Thanks to its Ultra Low Latency Gen 3 tech, the laptop can connect up to three HyperX devices at once, making it perfect for those deep in the HP gaming universe.
The Omen Max 16 features a metal chassis, complete with an optional front RGB light bar for extra flair. Gamers can also opt for a HyperX-inspired lattice-less per-key RGB keyboard, letting you light up every keypress. HP also introduces Omen Cryo Compound, a hybrid thermal material blending liquid metal and metal grease for enhanced heat dissipation and better thermal management.
Available in two finishes—Ceramic White and Shadow Black—the Omen Max 16 starts at $1,699 (around ₹1,45,600).
HP has also rolled out Omen AI, its first AI-powered game-learning app, currently in Beta. The app dynamically adjusts settings for optimised performance, offering a personalised, one-click setup for your rig. Initially launching with support for Counter-Strike 2, HP says Omen AI will expand to more games in the future, helping you squeeze the most out of your hardware and game settings.
On the hardware front, HP also revealed the Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor. Packing a 4K UHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, it’s also touted as the first Omen monitor to come with Google TV support. The Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor starts at $749 (approx. ₹64,200).
