Fresh off the reveal of the Signature OLED T, LG has raised the stakes at CES 2025 with two heavyweights – the all-new LG G5 OLED Evo and the LG M5 OLED Evo. The latter, in particular, is stealing the spotlight with its “wireless” design that banishes all cords—well, except the power cable.

Both the tellies feature 4K panels supercharged with LG’s Brightness Booster Ultimate, cranking up brightness by a 40% compared to last year’s lineup as per the brand. At their core lies the Alpha 11 AI processor, paired with LG’s Perfect Color tech for accurate and consistent hues. The screens have also earned UL’s Perfect Black rating.
The G5 flexes its gaming chops with support for up to 165Hz and the distinction of being the first TV certified for both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. This translates to smooth, tear-free gameplay with minimal input lag. To match the visuals, AI Sound Pro steps in with virtual 11.1.2 surround sound said to offer rich, immersive audio that adapts tonal balance and clarity. Meanwhile, the M5 goes wireless with its Zero Connect Box, offering a “visually lossless” connection and support for gaming consoles at 144Hz.
Both TVs come with Filmmaker Mode and Ambient Light Compensation, automatically adjusting the picture to match the lighting in your space. Packed with AI smarts, the TVs feature an AI chatbot for troubleshooting and optimising picture quality, AI-driven content search, and even AI-generated art to liven up your screen. And, there's an AI-powered remote to complete the package.
