In simpler words, now the NPCs won't just stand around like cardboard cutouts, they'll be chit-chatting with you in natural language, thanks to some serious AI magic.
ACE for Games offers developers of middleware, tools, and games the opportunity to incorporate tailored speech, conversation, and animation AI models into their software and gaming experiences, allowing them to create and implement personalized and unique AI-driven features in their creations.
It includes NVIDIA NeMo with which you can whip up customized language models, add a touch of personality to the characters by giving them lore and backstories, while ensuring they don't engage in counterproductive or downright dangerous conversations with NeMo Guardrails. NVIDIA Riva swoops in with its automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech, allowing the characters to engage in lively and spontaneous speech conversations. And, with the help of NVIDIA Omniverse Audio2Face, you can transform the speech tracks into expressive facial animations for your characters.
