Google Pixel 7a has the looks and features of Pixel 7 and 7 Pro

Ultimate bargain hunter's dream come true?

Google I/O took place today and look who just rolled up to the party - the Pixel 7a! At first glance, we can safely say it's got the bells and whistles of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro while barring the hefty price tag. Whoever said you can't have your cake and eat it too!

The Google Pixel 7a rocks the same Google Tensor G2 chip and Titan M2 security chip as the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. This is not even it, it also looks like the 7 with its camera bar and smooth, sculpted surface. The brand also assures it's the most durable A-series yet, equipped to handle drops and tumbles. So, whether you're a thrill-seeker or just a bit clumsy (no shame in that!), the Pixel 7a won’t apparently break easily.

Moving on to its camera system, Google says the Pixel 7a is packing some serious tech, with its upgraded main camera that features a 72% larger sensor than the Pixel 6a.  Plus, the new 13MP ultrawide lens means you can fit even more in your photos. The Night Sight is also twice as fast as it was on the Pixel 6a. And, there’s even a new 13MP front camera, which will let you capture videos in 4K.

To top it all off, Google says it's the first time that an A-series smartphone will come with long exposure and include Super Res Zoom up to 8 times courtesy of the Tensor G2. And not to forget, you’ll also get Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur, along with Pixel speech features like Live Translate, voice messaging transcription and assistant voice typing on the Messages app. The Pixel 7a will come in three colour variants - Charcoal, Snow and Sea for ₹43,999.
