Hyundai Creta Electric is out of the wraps, features a claimed range of 473km

Let EVs lead the charge!

Hyundai has electrified its lineup with the unveiling of the Creta Electric SUV, set to officially debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17. The EV is supposed to come with two battery options – a 42kWh pack delivering an ARAI-certified range of 390km and a beefier 51.4kWh version stretching it to a claimed range of 473km.

Hyundai says recharging is effortless too – plug into a DC fast charger, and you’re zipping from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes. And, the 11kW AC wall box charger is said to take you from 10% to a full 100% charge in about 4 hours.

The Creta Electric takes major design cues from its ICE sibling and adds a bit of its own electrified flair. A closed-off grille and fresh 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels set it apart, while active aero flaps on the front bumper boost efficiency. For added convenience, the charging port is positioned on the nose of the SUV.

Step inside and you'll find a sort of familiar aesthetic. The signature dual 10.25-inch screens return, now paired with a redesigned steering wheel and a floating centre console for a modern touch. The Creta Electric also features a panoramic sunroof, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) tech, 360-degree cameras, an ADAS suite, and Hyundai's nifty digital key. The offerings will be spread across four trims—Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence—catering to a range of preferences.
