Mercedes EQS SUV 450 launched in India for ₹1.28 crore

Comes with a claimed range of 820km

Mercedes has introduced the EQS 450 SUV alongside the G580 Edition One, aiming to expand its EV portfolio in India. Priced at ₹1.28 crore (ex-showroom), this five-seater SUV stands out with its 21-inch black-painted alloy wheels and a chic design inspired by Mercedes' Electric Art Line. At the front, it has a black panel grille integrated into the bumper, paired with LED headlamps connected by a light bar.

The EQS 450 SUV features a tech-laden 56-inch Hyperscreen, combining a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a passenger display, and a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. It comes with a 15-speaker Burmester audio system, a 360-degree camera, 4-zone automatic climate control, and luxurious touches like soft-close doors, puddle lamps, and illuminated running boards.

Safety is a priority with Level 2 ADAS and nine airbags.

The car houses a 122kWh battery delivering 360hp and 800Nm, with an MIDC range of 820km. Mercedes says the EQS SUV 450 accelerates from 0-100kph in 6.1 seconds. Charging from 10-80% with a 200kW DC fast charger takes 31 minutes, while a full charge via a 22kW AC wall box requires 6.25 hours.

Alongside the G580 Edition One, the EQS SUV will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, highlighting its advanced electric capabilities and luxurious design.
