With HiFi audio features!

Moondrop has entered the smartphone market with its debut product, the MIAD 01 – the Mobile Internet Audio Device. This device combines the functionality of a smartphone with that of a digital audio player (DAP), making it a smartphone tailor-made for audiophiles.

Powering the Moondrop MIAD 01 is the mid-range 6nm 8-core Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset, coupled with 12GB of LPDDR4X memory. In terms of storage, it offers 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, expandable via microSD to up to 2TB. The phone also features a USB-C port that supports USB 3.1 connectivity, allowing for transfer rates of up to 5Gbps.

Crafted for audio enthusiasts, the Moondrop features dual headphone jacks, offering both 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended outputs. The balanced jack delivers an output of 4Vrms, while the 3.5mm jack provides 2Vrms.

The device is fueled by a flagship quad-channel dual Cirrus Logic Master HIFI DAC. The audio circuit is designed with a 6-layer gold-sinking, electromagnetic shielding, and an independent low-dropout (LDO) power supply for optimal audio performance.

The MIAD 01 is equipped with a 100-level hardware-level DAC volume control and includes the Moondrop Audio Center app with DSP functionality. Moondrop claims that the MIAD 01 achieves a measured performance of 132 dB of dynamic range and a signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SINAD) of 118 dB.

Weighing 202g, the MIAD 01 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W USB-PD charging. This battery capacity supports the 6.7-inch 1080p curved OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. In terms of photography, the MIAD 01 features a 32MP front camera and a dual-camera system on the rear, comprising a 64MP primary shooter and an 8MP secondary camera.

Moondrop also promises a pure stock Android 13 experience with no data collection or advertisements. The MIAD 01 is currently available in China for 2499 RMB ( approx ₹28,744).
