Nothing Ear (3) debuts with a Super Mic system

Nothing has unveiled the Ear (3), its latest generation of True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, promising stronger noise cancellation, richer sound, and a refreshed metallic-transparent design. 

A standout addition is the Super Mic, integrated into the charging case. This dual-microphone system uses ambient-filtering tech to pick up your voice with clarity while cutting background noise by up to 95 dB, per Nothing. With a press of the TALK button, you can activate Super Mic to make calls or record instant voice notes that sync directly to Essential Space and are auto-transcribed when paired with Nothing OS.

Each Ear (3) bud stores three directional microphones along with a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit (VPU) that captures micro-vibrations from your jaw and ear canal to boost voice clarity. 

This works in sync with multi-channel AI noise cancellation and Real-time Adaptive Noise Cancellation (up to 45 dB), which automatically adjusts to your surroundings and fit for consistently clear sound.

Powering the audio is a 12mm dynamic driver with a patterned diaphragm, now featuring a 20% larger radiating area. The result is deeper bass gains of 4–6 dB, treble lifted by up to 4 dB, and an overall sound profile that offers wider staging, detailed mids, and sparkling highs compared to the Ear (2).

On performance, the earbuds deliver up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, extended to 38 hours with the case. Nothing says a 10-minute top-up via USB-C is enough for another 10 hours of listening. 

Connectivity comes through Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC support for high-quality streaming, plus a low-latency mode that keeps audio in sync for gaming and video. Plus, you can fine-tune the listening experience with the Nothing X app.

Nothing Ear (3) carries forward the brand’s signature transparent design, now elevated with metal accents. The charging case is built from 100% recycled aluminium, fused with plastic via nano-injection moulding for durability. A slim MIM antenna inside boosts wireless stability, while both the buds and case carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Ear (3) will be available in black and white for $179 (approx. Rs 15,700).
