Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is built for both work and play

Goes on sale from January 17

In this hybrid work times, tabs are back in vogue due to their capabilities and portability. Aiming to make the most of this is Samsung, which has launched a new mid-range tab in India, which it says is purposefully built to cater to our productivity and entertainment needs. It’s called the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, and it will go on sale from January 17.
For binging on Netflix, there’s a 10.5in TFT display with 1200x1920 pixels resolution, and a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support. A Unisoc Tiger T618 chip under the hood should be enough for basic tasks and a bit of gaming as well. Samsung is offering multiple variants with up to 4GB of RAM, and 64GB expandable storage.
An 8MP rear camera should take care of your basic photography needs, while the 5MP cam up front is more than enough for attending those endless office meetings. Making sure you don’t have to constantly hunt for a charger is a 7,040mAh battery with support for 15W charging.
Prices for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 start at ₹17,999 for the Wi-Fi only model and go up to ₹19,999. Prices for the LTE variant, on the other hand, start at ₹21,999 and go up to ₹23,999.
