Ultraviolette F77 electric bike launched in India at ₹3.8 lakh

TVS Motors has backed a new and upcoming EV brand dubbed Ultraviolette Automotive and they have just launched their first product–the F77 electric sports bike. Claiming to deliver the longest electric two-wheeler range of an IDC-certified range of 307 kilometres/charge, these beauts are all power.

There are 3 variants available in the market–the Shadow variant (₹3.8 lakhs), the Laser (₹4.55 lakh) and the high-end Airstrike (₹6 lakh). The top-spec Ultraviolette F77 Airstrike packs an electric motor rated at 40.4 Bhp-100 Nm, and is capable of doing 0-100 kph in 7.8 seconds while 0-60 kph in 2.9 seconds. It offers a top speed of 152 Kmph. 

The Laser on the other hand brings a 38.9 Bhp-95 Nm, which can hit 100 Kph in 8 seconds and 60 Kph in 3.1s, with a top speed of 147 Kmph. Last up, the base Shadow trim makes 36.2 Bhp-85 NM and is capable of a 140kph top speed managing 0-60 kph and 0-100 kph in 3.4 seconds and 8.3 seconds respectively.

All three models are equipped with regenerative braking, park assist with reverse gear and 3 riding modes: Glide, Combat and Ballistic. It also brings the largest battery capacity available for two-wheelers in India at 10.5 kWh. 

Additional perks include the active cooling technology for the battery pack, LED headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators, upside down front forks, monoshock rear suspension (adjustable for pre-load). For braking, you get disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS. The company is all set to manufacture 10,000 units of the F77 with production set to expand as demand rises and the company goes global.
