The Ultraviolette F99 electric superbike - touted as the first Indian superbike - has broken the quarter-mile record at the Valley Run in Aamby Valley. The electric motorcycle completed the quarter-mile (about 0.4km) in 10.712 seconds, setting a new record for an Indian motorcycle. This record will be followed by a second record attempt, where Ultraviolette will try to set the highest top speed by an Indian motorcycle in the coming weeks. Although unveiled earlier this year, the Ultraviolette F99 is still some time away from going into production.

Following the launch of the F77 Mach 2 performance electric bike, the F99 features a full carbon fibre exoskeleton, carbon fibre battery pack, 400V battery architecture, and liquid-cooled drivetrain. The electric superbike weighs 180kg, with a rated power of 120hp and torque of 972Nm. The motorbike can do 0-100km/h in under 3 seconds, and 200km/h in under 10 seconds, as per Ultraviolette.
While the top speed of the bike hasn't been announced yet, Ultraviolette intends to do so with its next record attempt. The Bengaluru-based bike maker recently launched the F77 Mach 2 (priced at Rs. 2,99,000 onwards), which followed its first electric motorcycle - the F77.
