What is the Humane AI Pin?

Information about the Humane AI Pin had been kept all hushy hush up until its recent debut at the 2024 Spring Summer show of Paris-based fashion house Coperni at Paris Fashion Week. What exactly is it? Well think of the Insta 360 and its magnetic attachment style to your clothes. Now instead of capturing stuff, the AI Pin projects information! You wear it on your coat or your t-shirt or trousers, simply put your hand in front of it and well excuse us, but all the info you request will be in the palm of your hand, literally. It’s a screenless, standalone device and software platform built from the ground up for AI. According to Humane, it uses a range of sensors that enable natural and intuitive compute interactions and is designed to weave seamlessly into your life via your clothes. The device is privacy-first, with aspects such as no wake word and therefore no ‘always on’ listening,claims Humane.

You won’t need a smartphone or other companion device as the Pin includes AI-powered optical recognition and a laser-projected display system, all powered by an advanced Snapdragon platform from Qualcomm. The complete functionalities of the  post-smartphone era Humane Ai Pin, will be unveiled in full on November 9 but we have a hint that it may cost $1000 and have a subscription fee.
