Whatsapp’s new app for Wear OS 3 lets you send, receive text and voice messages right from your watch

Snapback from your wrist! Yes, please!

If you are a WatchOS user this piece of news will surely make you happy. Meta is stepping up the game with a dedicated app for Wear OS 3. That means you can do way more than just reply to WhatsApp messages from your watch.

With the new app, you can start new chats, reply with voice messages and you can also answer calls, right from your smartwatch! So basically now you can stay connected with that special someone (or anyone else for that matter) even if your phone is nowhere to be seen.

Back in May, Google's I/O conference was buzzing with WhatsApp's announcement for Wear OS, they teased us with the beta version, giving developers and eager users a taste of what's to come but now WhatsApp's Wear OS app is going global.

Unlike Wear OS, Apple's watchOS doesn't have a standalone WhatsApp app as of now. So, Apple Watch users can only receive WhatsApp notifications about receiving a message on their watches and respond to messages through quick replies or voice dictation but let's not lose hope!
